Monster XP Helps Universal Orlando Keep Visitors Informed

Aug 19, 2020 | News

Keeping travelers informed and safe are the first steps in reviving tourism in any market, but it’s a priority in Central Florida.

“People are wanting to travel,” said Becca Bides, VP of Communications at Visit Orlando. Information is key. “It’s there, it’s a matter of giving them the information when they’re ready for it.” While overall travel is still well below normal numbers, the numbers do show an upward trend.

Recently released data from Visit Orlando shows hotel occupancy slowly rising, hitting 29.3% capacity through July 4, including the highest daily levels since mid-March on Friday, July 3 at 37% and Saturday, July 4 at 39.7%. And the main driver for tourism in Orlando are the major theme parks. Monster XP is based in the Orlando market and we’re using our expertise in producing digital consumer engagement programs to help support our local economy as Orlando reopens to tourism.

With Universal Orlando Resort rolling out the red carpet and kicking open the iconic Universal gates to the public, they trusted Monster XP to help get the word out that they’re open with certain safeguards now in place. As a long-time client, we’ve been updating digital signage around their property and at select off-site locations to highlight some of the new policies now in place, including onsite temperature checks, required face coverings, social distancing expectations and increased sanitation procedures.  Monster XP keeps this digital content up-to-date through remote content management to ensure the latest messaging is available for guests planning their visits to the Orlando attractions.

Our Ongoing Services Include:

  • Our installation and content management for Universal Orlando Resort at Orlando’s Official Visitor Center on International Drive. This display seamlessly integrates physical and digital media into a showcase wall that includes physical photo opportunities, highlight videos of what to expect for guests, and latest updates on their health policies to promote safe behaviors while visiting Universal Orlando Resort.
  • Our additional ongoing programs include installations in all of Universal Orlando’s on-site hotels. These two units are located in the common areas near the entrance of their respective hotels; typically they serve as an interactive kiosk that allows guests to virtually explore Universal’s Volcano Bay Water Theme Park. We’ve adjusted the messaging during this time to share the current updates and tips on how to stay healthy while on Universal Orlando Resort property.

If tourism or consumer traffic is a key element of your business, let’s set up some time to discuss ways to enhance the customer experience at your location.   Email us at info@monsterxp.net to schedule a free brainstorming session.
